Bizzy Lizzies Flowers was born out of my love of nature…

I grew up in Dublin in a lovely neighbourhood, where keys were left in the front door, people had time for conversation, and where an army of children played imaginative games out on the street.

Whilst in many ways it was an idyllic childhood, yet the physicality of the place lacked a softness that can only be achieved with nature. It was probably because of the scarcity of flowers generally that made the garden of one particular house stand out. That house where three elderly sisters lived was opposite to my family home. The sisters grew an abundance of Sweet Pea in their small front garden. As a small child, I can still remember walking up their path and being in awe of the soft colours and the perfume that was all around. To this day, when I smell the intoxicating scent that sweet pea is renowned for, I am transported back to that time. I believe my passion of growing and creating with flowers was sown for me then.

About-Liz-2.jpg

From an early age I always had a hankering to live in the countryside. Now, many years later my journey has brought me to this magical place, where some years ago I finally put down roots.

Bizzy Lizzies Flowers was born out of my love of nature. My small business is set just outside the beautiful fishing village of Dunmore East, Co. Waterford. It is here that I grow beautiful seasonal flowers, and an interesting array of foliage.

I absolutely love what I do. Creating different arrangements, using natural, sometimes unusual flowers and foliage, filled with a rich diversity of textures, shapes colour and scent.
